Attitude On Drugs

The attitude on drugs in today's society is a little different I believe over the many years it has changed in different ways, For example in the mid 1960s during the hippie age a wide variety of drugs were used to explore the different states of consciousness, such drugs like cannabis,LSD, and magic mushrooms were abused the most during these times in America. During the 1980s crack began to really be popular among everyone because now they could afford it, usually it was drug for the rich movie stars but when it was simplified from cocaine and could be cooked with baking soda it became available for all ages, ethnicity groups, and social classes in the world. As the drug showed to be a bigger problem in the united states than thought the government decided to step in and try to stop the widespread issue, they might have gone about it the wrong way in L.A. When they attached battering rams to tanks and broke into suspected dope houses causing damage and anger around the city. Cannabis, weed, marijuana anything you call it the drug is still bad but more than half of America say it's harmless because it's a plant, they think it will have no affect on you because of that when really if you are able to get addicted to weed then if you try another drug you might be easily addicted to that one too that's why it's called a gateway drug. Overall todays attitude for drugs can differ a lot in situations and people you find.
